Can anyone tell me what is involved in installing a T1 module in a Partner ACS? Thanks.

Pete

if you disable the internal csu in the partner and install a 3150 you can get all 24 channels. Can only do this by programing the partner via laptop with acs software.

Wellco, saw your reply. sounds interesting, as I may have a need for exactly that setup, can't seem to find it in any of the doc's, can you supply any more info?
thanks

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far. Thephonelady, basically the only information I could find at the Avaya site is that they do have a T1 module. I could not find any documentation for programmming and configuring the module. I was also told by another technician that the T1 module has a lot of problems and is unreliable. Can anyone tell me if that is that true? Thanks.

Pete

wellco, can you give more info on how to use all 24 channels on the T-1 module. I know you have to do all your programming for the T-1 using the admin software on a cpu but I'm not aware of how to break the 16 channel limit of the module

Pete,
Thephonelady is correct
Go to Index under T look at initial programming of T-1 module look at page 2-19 and 3-9

I have one T1 installed on a Partner 7.0 ACS and haven't had any trouble with it.

Jack of all, master of none!

I have two installed one on the R6 and on the R7 and both systems do the same thing. I have worked with AVAYA support and if you are going to do DID you will need a patch from them to make the R7 a .91F this fixes the Pool key lockup problem. The biggest problem is the wait for dialtone. On a regular CO line port dialtone is loop start and it is there when you press the CO key. Not so in the T-1 world. The lines are wink start and when you press the Pool key it lights and you have to wait for dialtone. If you don't the phone will display the digit but not send it if you use redial the call will be completed because the system will wait for dialtone before sending digits. I've tried making the R7 supply dialtone and that didn't work either. Thier is still the delay for the wink to the CO.
