Hi Everyone,
I've inherited a LAN with about 20 users. The current setup is configured so that my T1 line plugs directly into one of the ports on my switch - therefore, my whole network is accesable to the web all the time with NO FIREWALL.
I want to setup a router to be between the switch and the T1 line. Any ideas on what to use??

Is there any particular reason you want a router? You could also use a firewall that will do the authentication with your ISP. Just a thought and they will generally have a place you can put in MAC addresses of computers you want to block from using certain ports, ie. port 80 (internet). They are generally much easier to setup than a router. Just a possibility.

What type of switch? Do your users just use this for Internet?
