I am assuming that you have the default gateway of your network adapter pointing towards your firewall or router at the T1? You should be able to change the adapter gateway there.
Yes that's right, you can have more than one MX record:
10 T1 IP
20 DSL IP
Your router won't require any additional configuration, other than allowing port 25 through to the mail server (SMTP port, assuming the router has a firewall). You'll want to keep that rule in place however, that way if the T1 goes down or e-mails fail on the first MX, they don't bounce against your firewall on the second MX.
I always thought that T1 lines were supposed to have outstanding uptime? I've never used one myself you see.
Carlsberg don't run I.T departments, but if they did they'd probably be more fun.
