I have a dedicated T1 be routed into my 100D module on my Merlin Legend system. The question I have is should a dedicated line for 20/voice 4/data cost a $1000 per month in the TN area. Thanks in advance for the responses.

Allow me to put on my CONSULTANT Hat...

What are the alternatives?

What you are asking is, CAN I JUSTIFY $41.66 Cost per trunk.

What do 1FB's or "Regular" trunks cost?

How much traffic do you have? (Calls per hour, etc.)

Also, how many extensions?

NOT TO MENTION, what "VALUE ADDED" will you be getting?

IF THEY HAVE SOLD YOU 2-WAY D-I-D, BE VERY CAREFUL !

This could end up being the programming nightmare from H E Double Hockey Stix !!!

And last, Can you get PRI for the SAME (or nearly the same) Price?

Ususally, PRI is the way to go over 2-WAY D-I-D.

Several things to consider.....

You said 'dedicated'... I read that to mean 'dedicated long distance'. Another factor is distance from your location to the provider's POP... other carriers may have a lower 'local loop' cost, but are their per-minute prices comparable?

In short, that seems very expensive. You may want to see what the competition has to offer. Lots of times there are local vendors that can beat the sox off the big guys, but you may be in one of those areas where that doesn't happen.
