T1 CIRCUIT from Verizon
Location A has adtran CSU/DSU connecting to
Location B which also has an Adtran CSU/DSU

I now have a new T1 circuit from Verizon itself and I don't need the old T1
I would like Location A to use the old adtran CSU/DSU while
Location B does not have an adtran CSU/DSU but it has a Cisco router with
built-in CSU/DSU

Would this work? Is any configuration change required at Location A's
CSU/DSU?

I presume I would have to take linecode and framing configurations from
Verizon to configure my in-built CSU/DSU router. I guess they use the usual
stuff like framing esf and linecode b8zs
Thanks

Paul, it really is that simple:

Controller T1 0/0
framing esf
linecode b8zs

Then you identify the router ports:

interface Serial0/0.0
ip address 172.17.4.89 255.255.255.252
encapsulation ppp

(ours may be a bit different than most because we're using channelized cards instead of the normal WIC1-DSU-T1)

That's a direct copy/paste from a point-to-point we have (through Verizon, no less!)

Forgot to mention -- Tek-tips has a great Cisco router forum -- just have a browse and you'll see a bunch of posted configs for what you need.
