I am about to install a new T1 Circuit for long distance calling. Is it okay to do this during normal business hours if I leave the existing circuit as is? Once i have the new circuit fully tested, I would switch it over. Does anyone have any idea if my proposed suggestion would cause any downtime?

T1 Circuit Install Downtime Question

I would not recommend doing this during buisness hours. What can go wrong will go wrong! If your switch is not configured correctly with the way the CO has provisioned the new PRI you may have problems that will require reconfiguring your software which will require a reboot anyway. Good Luck!
