Hi Guys,
just need to clarify 1 thing on t1 channel usage.

if i terminate mY T1/PRI line in cisco 2811 Router.

can i be able to distribute channels among my nortel PBX, and fax server. any suggestions.

regards,
bsheikh

T1 is effectively point-point so to connect two devices (assuming they're both T! would require two more T1 cards in the cisco and some fancy programming to achieve.

There are better drop and insert boxes available which allow splitting of a T1/E1 into two but these are generally designed to carry a data stream with voice.

It would probably make sense to have the FAX server and the cisco connected to the Nortel and let that do the routing as I assume you would be using DDI numbers to find the relavent devices.
