Customer has a MICS 6.1 with a T1 E&M coming from a Cisco IAD (this is a SIP trunk setup)

Circuit has been good for 3 years, now calls are cutting off randomnly. Outside caller hears a fast busy. The MICS has been rebooted and tested. No maintenance event messages on the T1

CLEC has tested the circuit good, so they say, and replaced the Cisco IAD. Still calls are dropping.

The only thing I can do is replace the T1 Card and the clock card. It sure is tough to stand your ground for several days on this stuff.

Are there any other recommendations?

You can program the phones to show a Release Reason when the call drops, it could tell what is happening. I think it's under system programming.

thanks, I believe that is only available on a PRI, this is a T1. I will check, however.

I've also had a bad cable cause the same issues

I have changed t1 and combo cards but not the cable. It is a shielded t1 cable

Programming release reasons did not give us any information.

After replacing the T1 and combo cards, we made multiple concurrent outgoing calls and all calls dropped at the same time.

supposedly a patch was applied to the cisco iad and the problem has gone away.
