Has anyone installed a 24 channel voice T1, configured as B8ZS and ESF instead of the normal AMI D4?
The local LEC said they needed to do B8ZS due to an older mux feeding building that was all B8ZS.
All the 24 trunks are going to be grd start, just want to know if there is going to be a problem?
It's terminating into a Magix 100DCD
thanks

The norm around here is b8zs ESF
D4/AMI is the older protocol.

The Magix will work fine with either.

As long as the CSU and the switch are setup for it, either protocol will work fine. I have done them both. Good luck!!

Thanks ttech and Scottel, just wanted to make sure others had used it as such, didn't want to fire it up and have problems, I've used as PRI with B8zs/ESF and T1 with the D4/AMI, just when then notified me of the change, didn't want to chance it.
Thanks again
