Just noticing that around "triangle" icon next to the keys, there appears to be three "handsets". I've not ever seen them used for anything. Anybody know what they are for?
Just curious... DueE
You mean DSS keys to indicate that others are on the phone?
They have been pre-programmed at default starting at the lowest ext number.
To re-program press Feature * 2 then one of those buttons and then a desired ext number.
I think DueE is talking about in the LCD display you know the "triangle" that lights up when a line is in use, well if you look closely you can se what looks like a "handset" that can light up as well. I've never seen them light up either, and if anyone has or knows what they are for I'd like to know too.
THEY COME PROGRAMED THAT WAY, IF YOUR EXTENSION START AT 200 YOU WILL HAVE INTERNAL AUTODIALS FOR 201-202-203-204-205-206-207 ON YOUR 7316. WHICH YOU CAN CHANGE OR MAKE ANYTHING ELSE OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS
Ahh!
You know I noticed that a while back and forgot about it...very intrest, I wonder if it is the same LCD use in British Telecom Norstar sets, the sets are a little different looking and the software might be also and send a signal to the handset icon instead of the triangle icon?
I will ask buddy at the big N and see if he knows.
Roldan, yeah, that what I'm talking about.
sprucegrover-interesting thread about the T7316E. Hope to hear more about it when co-workers get back from the DAC. DueE
