T.38 FAX

Since release 9.5 the definity supports T.38 fax.
Does this mean I can hook up a T.38 enabled fax machine to my all IP network and send/receive faxes? Or does it mean a regular analog fax can be send over IP trunks between PBX's?

anyone experience with this? if I can use T.38 faxmachines, does anyone know a reasonable priced one?

Hy,

I had a customer with the same problem.

From my experience T38 is not supported on R9.5.
The manual for R300 (Avaya's Remote Office Communicator) says that "...T38 will be supported on a future Definity release (post R9.5)..." !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avaya technical personel has also confirmed this!!!

So if you need T38 you must contact Avaya and ask them if R11 (Multivantage) supports it. Petran.
