I presently have a T-1 with individual line appearances on 20 channels. I want to switch to DNIS with DIDs. How do I configure the T?. I plan to port over over a few of the existing #s and add a bank of 100 DIDs. What nightmares should I expect? I have the lines set as ground start because I had a disconnect issue before.
TIA

All will have to be set to Tie. All personal lines removed, of any, undo any pool information. Assign the DID's to the correct extensions.

I read somewhere that you can't have ground start and DID. Is this true?

DID trunks are either Immediate or wink start on the legend. You arn't dialing out on a DID trunk, so why would you even need a ground start trunk??

On the T-1, are the channels for the incoming programmed differently than the DIDs? I think I'm thinking more like a PRI, where the channels are dynamic.
So, let me try to understand. If I have a T-1. I should set some of my channels for ground start trunks for outbound and set some of the channels for TIE for the DNIS.
Maybe 12 and 12? ... or 16 and 8?
