I need to switch internet providers/phone service for a small business (10-20 users). We currently have a T-1 with 512K up/down and the rest handles phone voice channels.
I can switch to another T-1 which dynamically changes channels so my typical down/up would be 1 mbit.
Or I can use copper phone lines and Business DSL which would have nominal 5 mbit down and 740k up.

Question: is Business dsl reliable enough?
I am very close to the CO, so dsl speed should not be an issue and maintain the max.

It comes down to two things really: Cost and Post-installation SLA's

The SDSL line will be signicantly cheaper and you'll look good if you can shave 1000's off the rental of a T1.

Converesely the T1 should come with good SLA's to ensure a timely fix in the event of an issue. The SDSL may not be so good and, in extreme cases, they may decide to simply replace the copper - at your cost!

I'd look at those 2 aspects and perhaps weight them. Look at the pros and cons and decide accordingly.
