I'm trying to set up a over flow route on a BCM with a PRI.
IF the PRI goes down we would like the calls to route out over the back-up copper analog co's.
I set up route 002 as pool B and when testing-(by un-plugging pri)I get no free lines in display when dialing "9".
I followed doc for programming-all copper co's work fine with direct seizure etc.

Any ideas??

You need to set up and activate a Routing service which will enable you to overflow from one route to another.

You could also make a dest. code of say 8 and make a route using the analog lines.

Alternate dest code requries user intervention. Routing service keeps it transparent.

this will only work on a hard t1 failure which i have noticed happenening less and less

Routing service will work if a call cannot proceed over the default route. Doesn't have to be just a hard failure. I have it set up at multiple sites.

1st route choice is VoIP trunks (to an NRS)
2nd route choice is local PRI
3rd route choice is local POTS

Works great and I can't wait for a couple more sites to come online and allow multiple sites within a local calling area to be selected by the NRS.
