I need to take a software and hardware inventory of around 8 windows 98 systems. I know Windows XP has the systeminfo command and with that produces a file that breaks down the OS version, patch level, CPU, Memory etc.

I'm looking for similar information from these windows 98 systems. Does Win 98 use this same command? Is there an equivalent? I don't have the windows 98 systems in house at this time so I'm trying to be prepared when they do come in.

Belarc Advisor or Sisoft Sandra will list the components.

Excellent suggestion, I've used the Advisor previously though it did not cross my mind in this case.

Thank you.

And Everest (nee Aida32) is also excellent.

Cheers,
Brodie
