System_State Backup Failing (rc 41)

I have a Windows 2000 server running Citrix XP that the backup is failing with rc 41 on the System_State part of the backup.

If the backup is run without the System_State directive it works fine.

The file it is hanging on is rastls.dll. Anyone know what this file is / does? Same file each time the job fails, however, this doesn't happen on the 14 other Citrix servers that are configured the same and backed up at the same time; and more interesting the same file is backed up in a standard file system backup?!!

3 questions:

1. Is the System_State directive on Win2K necessary for a full caputre of the OS, or is it like NT 4.0 that if the %systemroot%/system32/config is captured then the Registry info etc is already being captured?
2. What exactly does the the System_State directive backup? File system locations / individual files / registry keys?
3. Anyone know of a way round this file being hung on? Or can we just leave the System_State out and still restore the server fully?

Info:

Netbackup 3.4 SP 6 Master - Solaris 8
Netbackup 3.4.1 SP 6 Client - Windows 2000 SP3, Citrix XP

You should exclude the systemroot%/system32/config from even being backed up. This will get backed up when you do a system state backup.

Are you using Open File Manager?

As for the file causing your backup to fail, try to exclude it to see if this is definitly the root cause of the failure.

Here is a doc on that file. It is part of RAS. I would check to see if this is needed for a recovery.
