System_State & mailbox_backup in 8.6

Hi,

Been running 8.6 for some time, in the past few days both the system state ( on a local and remote server ) and mailbox ( on a remote server ) As far as I'm aware nothing has changed on the servers

The backups fail with access denied errors for both system state and mailbox, I've been into the backup and ensured the correct account is entered in the 'attach as' option.

Has anyone come across this problem before and know how to correct it?

Has the password changed for the Backup Exec administrator account? Any Windows Service Packs or hotfixes?

Try enableing restrict anonymous on the backup server and remote servers. Restart the Backup Exec services after making the registry change.

As a side note Backup Exec 8.6 is EOL and not longer supported by Veritas/Symantec
