Hello to all.

I have a situation that is kicking my butt.

I have been asked to upgrade a IPO 500v2 that I never worked on before.

The system is running 8.1(57) and has been for about 6 years.

I am trying to upgrade to 8.1(95) then upgrade to the latest 9.1

I have a 9.1 upgrade license installed.

The box is a PCS12

So I need to do the two step upgrade process.

I have reset the system to the default passwords using DTE and everything seems fine there.

Whenever I try to do the upgrade I always get failed on everything.

I have rebooted the IPO 500. I have rebooted the PC running Manager.

And I always get a failed to upgrade.

I have completed several upgrades to systems to 9.1 in the past, so I thought I knew what I was doing.

The only thing I see is in the upgrade window, it says I need a required License 6 to upgrade. I don't understand that as I am trying to upgrade within the same level from 8.1(57) to 8.1(95)

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Turns out is was the Windows Firewall blocking the upgrade.

Turned the firewall off in the PC and the upgrade is now working.

That is what I get for working on a machine I didn't set up from the beginning.

Hope this helps others out there.
