Hi,

I recently installed Exchange Server 2000, on Windows 2000 Advanced Server, behind a Smoothwall firewall.

None of the users can change their passwords.

With Outlook, I get the following error:

(pop-up box = Change Windows Password)
Your windows password could not be changed.
Please check the information and try again.

With OWA, the web page pops up:

(pop-up window = Cannot find server)
The page cannot be displayed

I set all the settings that MS said to, but.....no go

Thanx,

check if the users are allowed to change passwords and check if the complexity requirements are not being met. can admins change pswds?

this should be in windows 2000 forum for best replies...

Keep in mind that the OWA's change password feature requires a SSL certificate.

zelandakh,

Even the admins cannot change. how and where do I check the complexity requirements?

I did put this in the Windows 2000 server forum, but no replies.

mtartaglia,

Do I need to pay for an SSL, or can I just create one for free?

Thanx,
