till yesterday the sytem was working fine, its windows 2000.
all of a sudden today the system will start and it doesnt reach the log on screen and just continous beeps are heard from the CPU.. Only yesterday there was a major cleaning done for the carpet, i have no idea is it to do something with static....
any ideas, will be really appreciated.
thanks

That is a good possibility but it definitely seems to be a motherboard issue. Test with another motherboard from aberdeeninc.

Maybe the carpet cleaners got fluid inside the case?

Continues beeps usually mean a fault with the GFX card (MEM)... make sure that the GFX card is seated correctly in it's slot (ergo take out and place back in)...
