System Wide Call Apperance Question

Afternoon,

I have Norstar R6.1

Just recently cutover to a PRI and one thing I was working on was the call parking. The location wanted to physically see the calls parked (SWCA) on a button just like a Avaya IPO500. I got the SWCA button keys working but when the user picks-up the call it doesn't release that SWCA key for it to be used again, once the user disconnects the call it becomes available.

I would like the user to hit the parked (SWCA) button and have it release once the user has pressed it (goes to their intercom button). Is this possible?

don't think you can SWCA is not really Parking a Call like the Call Park Feature does. It does use the space but it acts more like a line button and will stay lit until the call is dropped.
 
That's what I figured, so i'm SOL I assume for the call parking apperance and SWCA release once its picked up?

I know it works on BCM50, it releases the SWCA once its picks up and goes to intercom, do you know if a BCM400 r3.7 is capable of this?

We are using SWCA on a couple of release 7.1 MICS and it works just like you want it to. When the call is picked up off the SWCA key the key is freed up. I believe that this was a change made in 7.1.
 
Yes looks like that feature was added in release 7.0.

Changed: SWCA cntrl (Feature settings):
Auto associate now has three choices, rather than a Y/N value.
• Manual on park
• Manual LOC
• Automatic LOC


Manual on park: The user must press a SWCA button or enter a SWCA code to park a call on a SWCA code. When the call is retrieved, the SWCA code is available to another call.
