Im doing a sys upgrde from p2-p4, I have a 30g hd that i want to use in my new sys. I have a cdr and want to know how i go about backing up programs and files just in case I lose them in the upgrade. Particularly, If im in the middle of a backup and i run out of space on the cd, will there be a next cd window to advise on new cd???????????

I checked the Maxtor site and the program will work if you have a t least one maxtor HDD

Just explain what you want to do?

Just take backup of data or backup of the full Harddisk.

You may contact me on MSN at c_prajapat@hotmail.com.

What burner programme are you using?
If it is Roxio or Adaptec, use Take 2 programme for backing up.
Good luck

Nero has the option to burn hardrive backup cd's. It's worth the investment....although Nero is very picky in what CD-R drives it will work with....I thought adaptec EZ Cd Creator had that option as well?

Also recent versions of Norton Ghost and PowerQuest Drive Image will backup a hard drive image to CD. However, you must make sure that your particular writer is supported by the software.
