I know how to change what automatically loads on startup in Win 98 but I can't figure out how to do it in 2000. Msconfig isn't a valid command to run as in 98. I know you can often do it with the program itself but I would like to know how to do it in general. Thanks. Justin

It's in the registry. Now do backup your registry first and do take care with your registry as it's extremely important.

The locations they are in are "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run"
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run"
and the startup group.

Isn't there a way to do it outside of editing the registry? Doesn't seem like that would be the kosher way of doing it to me. Justin
