System Timers (Call Time Restriction)

Hi all,

I've tried to setup a timer which will automatically drops the CO-line (no matter whether the user is still on) after 2 minutes of conversation.

I turned on "CO Call Time Restriction" in PGM112, but when I was about to set up the actual System timer in PGM180 (System Timers) field 17 where it should be it says "Reserved".

I'm using ipLDK100 system and have CLCOB8 co-line card with CIDU8 addon.
Btw., I'm using 3.7Ch PCAdmin.

Any ideas?

Hi Ivo

This feature is used to restrict an outgoing CO call time. Setting the CO Call Drop Timer in a station base, the call will be disconnected automatically when the timer is expired. The caller and called parties will hear warning tone 15sec before the CO call is disconnected.

You should use these Admin Programs: (as you already did!).
? CO Call Time Restriction (PGM 112-BTN 3)
? CO Call Restriction Timer (PGM 180-BTN 17)

Maybe this feature is disabled in the country code for the S/W that you use? What country code do you use?
Remember that it only works for outgoing calls.

Hi doktor,

Because I'm from Macedonia and my country is not listed among available Nation information, I've selected Korea as Location information in PGM100 (default setting), because features regarding CO-lines, ISDN etc. worked, but I don't have any CID which I suspect is because of the country location.

What country code and SW do you use? I don't think it will matter if I chose some of other EU countries as location, as our telco's (T-Home) signaling is under EU regulation and standards.

You should use an european country code in Europe. You can use the country codes for England or Denmark.;-))
Please note that if you change the country code to another, then ALL you data WILL be LOST.

Try this:

Call Time Restriction
Description
The Call Time Restriction feature is used to restrict outgoing CO call time. In Station programming, the User
can set the Call Cut Off timer, whereas the call will be disconnected automatically when the timer expires. The
called and called parties will hear a warning tone 15 seconds before the call is disconnected.
Condition
?? This feature can be assigned on a station-by-station basis, and is applied to just outgoing CO calls.
?? Call Cut Off timer
?? If the Call Cut Off timer is enabled on a Station, the timer is still applicable when a call is transferred to another
Station.
?? On the add-on conference, the Call Cut Off timer enabled Station will be restricted to the outgoing CO call time.
?? The Call Cut Off timer is not released when the call is placed on hold, or is transferred.
Admin Programming
1. CO Call Time Restriction (PGM 112 – FLEX3)
2. Call Cut-Off Timer (PGM 113 – FLEX12)>>>> set 2

PGM 180 FLEX 17 is not available for ipldk 60

Also with ipLDK-100 ver. 3.7, they have changed the settings:

Admin Programming
? CO Call Time Restriction (PGM 112 – FLEX3)
? Call Cut-Off Timer (PGM 113 – FLEX12)

PGM-180, BTN-17 is still active in some systems.
(CO Call Restriction Timer).
If the Call Cut-Off Timer has expired, the call will be released and the user hears disconnect tone.(from V3.7).

Yes, I've tried to program it from LDP7024 and after PGM180 -> Flex # 17, I was pointed to check the "Cut off timer" - PGM 113 – 12.

Hi Doktor,

As I previously stated I was unable to set PGM180-BTN17 from PCadmin (I use pc admin ver. 3.7Ch and my MPB ver. is DX90P-3.8Bf JUL/08) as it is marked as "Reserved" and I can not change the range and value.

When I tried to access PGM180-BTN17 from my master terminal LDP-7024D it said: Check "Cutoff Timer(min)" in PGM113.
I then changed the value in PC admin for this field PGM113-> Cutoff Timer for 2 minutes (the period i need it) and then enabled "CO Call time Restriction - Set to ON" in PGM112-BTN3 to those telephone sets I wanted this restriction to be applied to.

The timer went ON once you seize the CO line and drops 120 seconds after (in my case) and it gives you sound notification 15 sec. before the line drops by default settings.

Hope this will help other users which will have similar situation.

Thanks for your status reply. It helped me. It would be nicer for you - in the future to use an european country code. DX is Korea (or GS).
