anyone know why on the system status program the time might be different to on the phones?

Nope! Our own office system has this problem. The phones have the correct time. A Monitor listing shows the correct time. The voicemail server has the correct time but System Status is exactly one hour different!

I called our tech support on this and they didn't know either but they suggested rebooting to fix the problem. I haven't had time to try this yet so I don't know if this fixes it.

we had to do a factory reset and rebuild the configs.

I've seen this after the daylightsaving time change.
The monitor and phone give the correct time.
But SSA is not still one hour off.
A reboot of the IPOffice cleared it for me on all six occasions.
The one hour off doesn't harm anybody but your alarms and traces from SSA are also 1 hour off.

I don't know why this happens and it's a pity. The SSA time in the status bar was a quick way to find out what time the IPOffice thought it was (especially from remote without the digital phones). This in realtionship with time-profiles.
But now I've seen this, you can't trust that tool anymore and we have to open the monitor application again.
