Are there any system tables in InterBase that would give me information about the database itself?

I'm looking for something that would help me return data that I can incorporate into a report that would identify the database to the reader. I'm thinking the best thing would be database filename and path, but I'm open to other ideas/possibilities.

Thanks!

Yes, there are a few of these, their names start with RDB$ and contain things such
as table names, column names, indexes, index segments, etc.

One of the best places to find out which tables provides what information is the back
of the InterBase Language Reference manual. I sometimes use them for things like providing
a list of tables and their foreign key relationships, what columns are used in any
particular index etc.

good luck
