HI

Ive run out of keys on my mitel 3300cx handsets and so wanted to create system wide speed dials for the users.

I can create internal System speed calls, ie is can assign speed call 100 to ext 299 but I cant assign it to an external number. Ive tried with and without '9'

Should I be able to? am I barking up the wrong tree? I cant see any class of service options that allow / disallow.

Cheers

Tim

The actual digits must match a dialable number on the system.

Do you use 9 to dial externally?

If not enter the exact digits that you dial from the phone.

Just guessing, but based on the fact that you have a CX. Do you select a trunk via a key on the phone? If so, it might be that your ARS is not configured which would make Speed Calling difficult if not impossible.

You are correct it is a ARS issuse

I added to the ARS and now speed dial works.

There are personal speed dials you can assign to a set so you don't have to use the system wide speed calls. I would only do system speed dials to define numbers that everyone will call.
