Ok guys I have a new one for you.
My system speed calls are now being forward to any current extension that match a DID number.
For example if my extension is 361 and I have a DID that it ends in 361 -Like (XXX)XXX-5361- then the call goes right to the extension 361. The problem is that now our main number is displaying a DID that is going to an extension ending in 307. The DID ending numbers are 2307. What I try to do so I can fix this issue for now till we get this number change, was to create an extension 2307 and have the DID dialed this extension. Well as always with our system it did not work. The DID is still dialing extension 307. So, why is not reaching the new extension 2307 if the extension is matching the last four DID numbers? DID: 2307 Extension: 2307

David:
Depends on your phone switch. Do you have a 200EL/200ICP or a 3300?
Form 19 can override answer points in the 200s.
3300 routing in call handling can override rules as well.
Hope this helped.

I am sorry I forgot the details of my system.

Mitel 3300 ICP, Software v. 9.0.3.15

Thank you again,

Zete,
If I undestand correctly I did look on the routing form it was set to no reroute. We are talking about the Call Rerouting Assigment form, right?

DavidA - to start with I am not sure why the title of this thread is System Speed Calls. You have not mentioned them in your description. Coincedently (or not) the solution/problem may be the use of said System Speed Calls.

Currently, in your trunk service assignment form, you will find one that is assigned to your trunks that are providing the DID's. In there you will be absorbing some quantity of digits. If the number is zero, then you're out of luck for now. I will assume some other number. Lets assume you are receiving 7 digits and absorbing 4 for example. If this is the case, then XXX-2307 and XXX-5307 are no different on your system. Both are treated as 307.
If we absorb 1 less digit (3) then the actual digits dialed will be 2307 and 5307. Better but 5307 doesn't match anything yet so it will fail. What you do at that point is create a System Speedcall 5307 that dials 307. The 2307 number will match 2307 and ring as you desire.

Assuming the 5307 conflicts somehow with some other number on the system, there is a solution for this too. Next to the Absorb digits is insert digits. I might insert something like *** or *1* or any sequence of digits that would be unique to your system. In this way, XXX-5307 becomes ***5307 and XXX-2307 becomes ***2307. I would then create speedcalls for both to remove the padded digits. SC ***5307 dials 307 and SC ***2307 dials 2307.

Basically, Create a speedcall for every DID that matches the digits after modification by the Trunk Service Assignment form and set it to dial whatever number you like.

Thank you, KwbMitel.

It seems that we do have a trunk label ip trunk and in the dial in trunks incoming digit modification - absorb option is set to zero.
I am guessing my option here is to use the insert option to move to a four digit DID.

Thank you again.

With absorb digits of zero both numbers are identical to the system and adding digits serves no purpose.

The only option at this point is to go to the telco and request more digits.

Man that's bad.
Ok, thank you again kwbmitel.
