Hello everyone,

I would like to know how to find where a DN is listed in our system. I am trying to add a new system speed call and when i click save i got a message that said "The directory number is defined elsewhere." is there a easy way to tell where is this number defined?

Our system is a Mitel 3300
version: 9.0.3.15

Thank you.

Go to maintenance commands and type 'LOC NUM' this will tell you what a number is, You can also type 'LOC ALL FREE DN FROM 1000 TO 9999' this will list all the free numbers on the system.

Thank you boycey9.

Now what if I want to know where a number is going?
The number I am trying to set for speed dial is 123 and the system said that this number is already elsewhere how do I know where is going. I am do not see it in the system speed dial form.

I finished setting up the Speed dial!

The only thing is that, I do not recall how I have the information that you could "override" an existing number.
I mean I was trying to send a DID ending with 123 to another extension in this case 115. Well it seems that my system would not let me do that if the number is already ending on one of the extension then I am not able to change that number to another extension. I tried with several number and it will give me the same error.

I guess I just learn something new today!

Thank you for your help.
