On the receptionist phone, the display reads SYSTEM SETUP on the top line and TIME CLEAR on the bottom line. I can't seem to get this to disappear. Does anyone know how to make the date reappear? Thanks in advance.

First- why did you title the post "System Setup StarTalk Flash 4 2.0?" Do you think the phones display has something to do with the VM (were you working on the VM when this happened?)

Usually you just press the soft key to remove time clear type messages

My apologies if the post is misleading. I inherited the system, so I don't know a whole lot about it. I was just trying to give some info on the system. Apparently, they had a power failure and when the power came back on, that's what showed up on the screen. You mention the soft key. What key is that?

The 3 keys below the display are soft keys. Pressing those should remove such messages. If the phone you are getting the message on does not have any keys directly below the display try # or *, or get a phone with soft keys and plug it in there to remove the message.

When I push the button under TIME, it will give me the time and date but it doesn't stay. I don't want to push the button under CLEAR for fear that it will wipe out the programming on the phone. I also tried pushing the # and * keys. That doesn't clear it either. Any other ideas?

PRESS CLEAR- it just means to clear the alarm from the sytem rebooting itself
