System Restore

I am experiencing an acute problem with System Restore. I am using a 1.8 GH Pent., 512 Ram, running XP Pro. When I attempt to use System Restore the results are that it can not restore to this point and nothing in my PC has been changed. I have tried several restore points. What am I doing wrong and or what can I do. Thanks for all your good help. Eddie460

System Restore will not be able to restore your system to any point (or time) where your computer configuration is/was faulty. It can only restore to a fault free configuration.
