What should I set these too, just 8/10 or something before the worm or what?

I just don't want to mess it up more

thanks

What do you mean 'set these to'? Do you mean what date should you restore to? Follow the steps in thread779-621790 where you posted this same question.

if you mean System restore date, no, I think you should clean your system and patch it, that should be easier and less of a risk. (I am totaly assuming you're computer has been infected by the msblast.exe) Although you may want to get some more opinions on the matter before deciding what to do.

I have fun. Usualy at my own expense, but I have fun regardless

After you have removed this worm and you a happy that your machine is clean, I would create a new restore point on the clean system.

Next I would use the "More Options" tab of the Disk Cleanup tool to remove all but the most recent restore point. This will prevent reinfection via old restore points.
