System Restore Problem

OS Windows XP Pro,
when I click on system restore, I get a message,
Rstrui.exe Entry point not found
The procedure entry point RemoteAssistancePrepare
System Restore could not be located in the dynamic link
library winsta.dll. I am not able to perform a system restore, any help resolving this problem will be appreciated.

Repairing XP .

Start up with your Boot disc or Startup disk in ( without cd rom support )
At the A: prompt , type , sys c: and then press ENTER.

Take out the boot disk and then "Repair" XP by booting from the XP CD and selecting Install >
Repair (NOT recovery console) > Fast Repair.

Control panel > Administrative tools > Event viewer
In there you can view system errors, software errors etc .
