system restore floppy

I just added an external HD and used Backup for XP to backup and create a system restore floppy. The Window Backup File was created ok, but I got an when trying to create the floppy:

Backup Status
The files for the recovery diskette could not be created. The operation was aborted.

Is there another way to get this diskette or did I just miss something w/ Backup for XP? thanks

You may need a "XP Boot Disk" to place the sys restore files on. To create a "Boot" floppy, go to Windows Explorer - format A: - and check the box for "Create an MS-Dos start-up disk". Try using this for the back and restore function.
