What does this mean?? It is an Access error message not windows. It happens when i select a value in a drop down box. The database is not at all large, and there is no complex routines running behind this drop down box. It simply pulls the data from a table within the database. Anyone know what is causing this message?

Could be corruption
Try this
First make a copy of the database.
then Repair it in Access '97
or Compact and Repair in Access 2K

See if you still get the error
If compacting ruins the database you have your copy to go back to.
You need to get as much VB code as you can out of it an create a brand new database.

Copy all VBA code into Notepad this forces it to be just ASCII.
Which leaves behind any possible corruption

then save notepad docs
Open new database open notepad docs and recreate it.

I never experienced exactly this error message, but I know the following very well:

"Not enough memory to update display".

If this is the correct error message in your case, then have a look at the appropriate article in the ACCESS ONLINE ENCYCLOPEDIA ( "General topics". There is an explanation of the problem as well as the solutions to it.
