Hi there,

I have all sorts of problems with my Excel crashing.
I'm running windows 2000 and Office 2000.

I have the option of upgradign to Windows XP and Office 2003.
Is this worth doing?
Can anybody give me pros/cons for doing this?

(I need to justify it to our Systems Integration department)

thanks in advance,

yes it is worth doing as long as your hardware has enough memory to cope with XP.

But be aware that there are things on OF2003 that you may not like.

And if you use the Office shortcut bar then be aware that it has been removed from OF2003. (I keep a copy of the install cd and always install that bit after installing the new Office versions).

If your department needs justification to jump into XP then they should do their homework and make a decision based on that. Although it is normally worth it as I said, it may also mean that many of your applications (internal ones) may stop working, so it is for your SI department to look for this before upgrading any machine.
