System Recovery Sco 5

Need to restore Sco5. Have booted from the recovery disks but have no idea what to do next!! Want to restore from tape but have been left in the lurch regarding how to do this. Any help extremly welcome.

what type of backup do you have on tape?
is it restoring on the same system it was backed up on?
