Does anyone know how to active the "system recovery flag" that signals to CCM that it is doing an upgrade during the 3.3(3) install so it will pull in an STI backup from your old 3.2 system? I know that if you are doing the install on a real MCS then it happens during the OS installation, but I'm trying to do it on a generic server and have not had any luck trying to get this to happen. I can't find any information about this anywhere!

Can you download the 3.3.3 upgrade file off the cisco site? I just went through a nightmare upgrade, and I had to run the upgrade program. I wanted to install new drives with a new install of 3.3.3, and migrate like you describe, but even with the flag in place, it didnt work on an MCS box.

You have to have CDs to upgrade to 3.3 from 3.2 - you cannot download the update.

AdamOK,

Can you please verify that I can not to an upgrade from
3.3(2) to 3.3(3) using the CCO 3.3.3 file.

Because when I try to upgrade ccm 3.3.2 to ccm 3.3.3 from the CCO downloaded file. the systems says after the first reboot "Service Pack 3 not installed, upgrade stopt".
All the Service packs are installed, see below

OS Image 2000.2.3
OS Service pack 2000-2-5sr4
OS Upgrade 2000.2.5
SQL 1.0.1

Any ideas?

Simon

You need to do the SQL service pack and cumulative patches...then you will be ok.
