Were experiencing problems with accessing voicemail, when users tried to get into voicemail they would experience dead air or busy signal.

I rebooted the system to see if this would fix the problem, the only problem is that the phone system never came back up and on the screen of the phones it says "system unlicensed".

any ideas?

I would wager it's about 90 days since install and the installer put it in running essential edition without first licencing it, so now you need an upgrade licence (cheapest option) or the essential edition licence :)

That's what I originally suspected as well, I have ordered the license from avaya and hope that's all that it needs

Thanks

Did you order the upgrade licence? It's cheaper and gives/allows more features than the more expensive essential licence :)

Yes I ordered the upgrade license

Just waiting now for avaya to register and send me the license

Thanks for the help!

Hi Natedog. whats the code for the upgrade license you ordered?
@Amriddle, would a downgrade to v7.0 work.
Thanks in advance

The downgrade to R7 would allow it to run on R7, but it wouldn't allow the step back up to R8 (the cheat) without a licence if that's what you mean :)
