I'm trying to setup a system.prv file so when new IP phones are plugged in at our offices which don't have a phone person onsite, they receive their node an TN from our system.prv file.

The DHCP server is set with the proper options for S1S2 and TFTP address, as I never have to enter that information, and I've successfully done firmware changes. Also, the system.prv does not fail during bootup.

I have the following System.prv file set up on the TFTP server
Code:
REG= b4b0177d9a93, CS1K,S1,111,112-0-00-07;
REG= b4b0177d9c19, CS1K,S1,111,112-0-00-25;
REG= b4b0177d9ac2, CS1K,S1,111,112-0-00-29;
REG= b4b0177d9be3, CS1K,S1,111,112-0-00-24;
REG= 581626bea332, CS1K,S1,111,112-0-00-02;
REG= b4b017709ab6, CS1K,S1,111,112-0-00-01;

However, when booting up, the phone still requests Node and TN from the user.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

DG

Hi,

- Change REG to reg (lowercase)
- Remove the space after the =
- Change the MAC address to uppercase
- Remove the space before CS1K

Amazing! Even though the Avaya document I read said none of that mattered, it works now!

Thanks

Good to hear it works now.

Good luck with filling the prv file :-D
