Hey there,

Coming from Panasonic to E-Metrotel, and with Panasonic I can call into a system remotely and change programming such as greetings, Custom Service Menu recordings(IVR's), time service, etc.

Is this a capability on the E-Metrotel platform?

We mostly do this on sites where we don't have remote access due to no static ip/DDNS situations, but I know with E-Metrotel you can use OpenVPN and do the same idea as a static IP.

As you stated, Emetrotel uses Open VPN to establish an encrypted tunnel to their servers that gives you full remote access through the open internet without having to do any configuration on the customer's router/firewall so you can program whatever you want just as you would if you were sitting in front of it.

If you don't want to use that particular feature, you can always set it up manually through the customer's network or use one of the may remote desktop applications. For any AA type greetings, when you record them, you are given the opportunity to assign codes/passwords that you use to access them and easily change them from any phone. You can set up your AA to send you to areas where you can get to them over the phone and adjust them remotely. For the other stuff, there's no point to having to do it the way you describe when you have full remote access so the UCX is not designed to do it, no matter what platform you choose.
