I am a VERY new user to the Partner phone system!!

I am having a helluva time trying to change my ACS from Hybrid to Key setup. I currently only have one line and the system is programmed to pool 4 lines. I am using MLS 12 phone sets. I have gotten the correct overlay for the MLS phonesets and am following the directions of using procedute #198, Feature 0, 0 - System Program, System Program - #198 - system password - 1!!! But No Luck!! :-(

I do find something funny though and maybe this is my problem, when I go to the system program button (left intercom) and hit it twice, it never lights up. In the manual it says it supposed to light up after you press twice.

Any suggestions, comments, suicide solutions???? :)

Thanks for any help, much appreciated!!

Are you sure you are at extension 10 or 11?

Yes I am!!

I did find out why I couldn't get out of Hybrid and into Key. I have an old system and there is a little pot that needs to be tweeked by screwdriver and that puts the system in Key mode instead of Hybrid or pool.

But, I still have a problem with the lights on the extensions illuminate like the there are 4 lines in a pool. The system knows there is only one line but the extensions including 10 & 11 illuminate like there are 4 lines.

I do have 2 206 modules, is there a factory setting for 2 206 modules that will show 4 lines??

Thanks for your help!!

Yeah, if I remeber right, the default is 4 lines. Go to system programming and scroll through the options. One of the first ones will be number of lines, change it to one.

Actually, I don't think that you are in Hybrid Mode, I think that you have CO 1 through 4 assigned to the first four buttons as default. If you go Feature 00 and then touch each one and look at the display, it will tell you what each button is. You will probably see L01, L02, etc., instead of Pool 880, Pool 881.

Anyway, either use #301 which is line assign to remove the unused lines from each extension, or use #104 to set the number of lines (which will make them appear on every extension with immediate ringing)

Well there is one problem!! I don't have a display phone as of yet. So, I am about to go on the used market for a refurb display phone set. You live and learn, I thought it would be relatively easy to program without a display but, I have found out the hard way that isn't the case!!

Thank you for the tips!!
