I have a jar file that runs by double clicking on it. However, when it is started this way, the command shell with my system output is hidden. Is there some way to get the output window (i dont want to reroute all the output to a textarea)? using nt4, j2sdk1.4.0
thanks

Change the file association for jar files to use java instead of javaw in windows explorer.

Thanks. I'd imagine then that there is no way to force a console upon a user. This jar will be run on different machines, and the output is crucial. I guess I'm just gonna have to suck it up and rewrite my code to output in a textarea. (Should've just started with a GUI in the first place)
