We have just installed the system and everything seems to be working DIDs paging vm etc. the major problem we are having is when someone dials 9 for an outside line they have to dial really fast or the call is dropped and they get the if you want to make a call message from the phone company. Are there timer settings to deal with this or is this a phone co issue. I looked at the timer settings under telephony on the switch and played with some of those settings but it did not seem to help this problem. Once calls are completed they do not drop and callers are having no problems calling in. All calls are coming in and going out one group 0. It is happening on both the analog and 1416 sets.

check the dial delay timer....

the "and they get the if you want to make a call message from the phone company" is the clue. Its coming from the line provider who is already connected and receiving the digits. In which country is the system and what does the dial 9 system short code look like?

1. You may need create an ARS for this.
2. Put a semi-colon (;) at the end of the shortcode.

You could have pressed the moron key and read the help files regarding shortcodes, the answer is there.

A simple mind delivers great solutions
