I'm getting the following error when trying to access the " using IE.

The type initializer for "System.Net.HttpWebRequest" threw an exception.

I used to be able to go to this local web page to upload new reports. This is Win 2003 server rinning SQL 2000 RS. Any ideas?

check the website using inetmgr.
sounds like the website itself is having problems.

beyond that, I'm afriad I can't offer much advice. Haven't worked with ssrs 2k for soooo long now...

Not familiar with "inetmgr", but will look into it and see what I can find. All of the current reports are running just fine.

inetmgr, is the run command for iis manager, type it into start > run...

if the reports are working, then you may want to check that your reports website is running properly.

by default, reports run from the \\localhost\reportserver website while the \\localhost\reports website is for report management.
it's possible that one website may become corrupt, while the other remains fine.

the quickest way to deal with this in my experiance is to just re-create the reports website using ssrs configuration, however this doesn't identify why the site suddenly stopped working, so it may happen again, or not work at all...

Thanks. I've looked for the configuration tools and cannot find them where they are supposed to be. There is no entry in Start->Microsoft SQL Server for Configuration Tools. This is SQL 2000. I think the configuration is all done manually. If the server reboot doesn't correct the problem, I guess I will have no choice but to remove SSRS and start over. I've only done this a couple of times, will have to dig out my notes to see exactly how I installed it.

yeah, vague memories of ssrs 2000 being a pain, mind you, 2005 and 2008 can both be a bloody pain as well...
