Have setup a new server and now need to change the name of it. Seem to have done this as I can see it on the network as the new name, but sco unix login screen still comes up with the old name. This we think is also causing other problems. Is there such a thing as an internal name?

Have you tried to play with netconfig choosing the TCP-IP protocol and then midify it ?
You may also modify the /etc/conf/cf.d/stune file for the NODE line and relink the kernel.

Hope This Helps, PH.

:) Changing the system name is complicated task. There is about 18 (!) places (files) you have to touch. No just one variable to assign ... Search forums here for technical articles. There is one article with list of actions you have to do. Folloing it is very easy. I successfully do it. With netconfig you can change only IP address.

Stankow,
