Hi all,
I'd like to know what people use for System Monitoring in an Windows 2000 Advanced Server environment.
I'm going to have 2 servers, 1 is a web server, the other is a database server that I would like to monitor event logs, services, outages, etc.
I've looked at a few products:
ipMonitor looks like a solid package, but I'd like something less than the $700 price tag (if possible, if everyone says ipMonitor is the industry leader, that's what I'll look at using).
ipSentry looks good as well, and is a little less money
Monitorware looks like it will be a player, but it's not "mature" enough right now.
Does anyone have comments on these products? Does anyone know of anything better that I didn't mention?
Thanks in advance,
