Can someone point me in the right direction on how to create a pop up message, that all terminal server uses can receive when they first log on to a terminal server? I would like to let all users know that when they log in to this specific terminal server they must be running Windows XP sp3 OR Windows Vista sp1, and .NET Framework 3.5.

I figured it out, very nice and neat also on 2008

1. Click Start, click Run, and type "regedit" (without quotes) to launch your Registry Editor.

2. Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

3. Right-click LegalNoticeCaption, click Modify, and type whatever caption you'd like your message window to have.

4. Click OK.

5. Right-click LegalNoticeText, click Modify, and type your message.

6. Close the editor.

You can also do this through group policy or local group policy.

Hmm, gets me thinking even more, how can I restrict users that do not have Windows XP sp3 OR Windows Vista sp1, and .NET Framework 3.5?

My clients are not employees. They are connecting from differnet organizations around the US, in which we host an app and DB for.
