On win2k machine using Access2000, thorugh our program is having trouble opening their database.
Took them to the location of the database and tried to and came up and error "can find system.mdw file".
I think i breifly understand it is something to with access self-registering everytime you load it ( i think?? )

Any help would be appriciented.

System.mdw deals with Access' security module (yes, it has one, but it's off by default). So if that file is missing or corrupted, you'll have to get a new one. The easy way is to reinstall Access. You could, on the other hand, copy the system.mdw file from another machine running Access2000 (yes, they're identical). My system.mdw file should be placed in C:\WINNT\System32, but I'm running Access 97.

It's also possible you've got a corrupt database, but I don't think that's likely.
