System manager error

When i try to access an company within accpac i get this error after i log in

System error. cannot connect to Accpac signon manager

Accpac version and service packs?
Run regacc.

Service Pack roduct Update 1
Workstation O/s: Xp Pro SP2
Server O/s: Windows server 2003

yeah i found it and i am using it has we speak but i want to know the effect of this

It registers Accpac DLLs.

From Version 5.0 through 5.6 (and parts of 6.0) each screen is an ActiveX control. Each of those ActiveX controls has to be registered with Windows. This will happen automatically when you open a window which can cause a delay the first time a screen is opened.

Regacc registers all of the screens for you so you don't have to open each screen. Regacc also registers a few more components which you can't directly access so that's why it was suggested that you run it.
